Bondi Beach is a short trip from the city, but a world away in ambience. For the quintessential Bondi experience, book a lesson with local surf school Let's Go Surfing or join locals for an early morning swim.
Dry off with a stroll along the cliff top path to Bronte Beach. The sheer sandstone outcrops and viewing platforms make for a spectacular walk at all times of the year.
Now you've worked up an appetite, it's time for lunch. Try Brown Sugar on Curlewis Street, where locals rave about the fish pie,
or visit Pompei's for thin pizza and fruity gelato.
Gertrude and Alice in Hall Street is another great spot. Choose wholesome treats from the blackboard menu and eat amid the stacks of secondhand books.
